Traveling to Germany
All CSSG participants make their own air travel arrangements to Frankfurt, Germany. Please make sure that you arrive at Frankfurt International Airport on May 7, 2025, by 1 p.m. at the latest (this means leaving Canada on May 6, 2025, since nearly all flights to Germany are overnight flights). We meet as a group at Frankfurt International Airport and continue our travel from there by chartered bus. Return flights should be booked for any time on June 25, 2025 (preferably after 11:30 a.m. since our bus leaves Kassel at 6 a.m. and reaches Frankfurt Airport in time for departures from 11:30 a.m. and after) or any date thereafter (you might want to remain in Germany for additional personal travel).
We are offering the possibility of group flights departing May 6, 2025, and returning June 25, 2025 through Merit Group Travel, Edmonton. You do not have to live in or fly from Edmonton, or on these specific days to take advantage of this program. Merit Group Travel will help you with your flight, regardless of your departure city or day.
This opportunity allows for optimum savings and convenience. Contact Ms. Val Landals (and please use the form below):

Canadian citizens staying for less than 3 months in Germany are not required to obtain a Visa. Permanent residents and international students MUST apply for a visa before flying to Germany. The visa application may take several weeks; we advise you to submit your documents early in order to obtain your visa on time. For further information, contact cssg@smu.ca.
