  • Faculty research profiles: Creating your bio page for the website
    • In January 2026, the university began a transition process to establish a single, primary location/method for all individual full-time faculty profiles/pages on the SMU.CA website.
    • To set up your profile using the new system, visit smu.ca/fgsr/researchprofileset-uppage
    • These are the Arts faculty profiles in the university's faculty research directory.
    • Once your profile is online in the directory, use the same URL for faculty bios within your department/program website.
  • Web content updates:
    • Confer with your program's administrative assistant for updates they can manage in-house.
    • Use the Website Update form in the EIT client support portal for creation of new content pages or web updates that require assistance from the university's web team.
  • Design templates: The Saint Mary's Brand website provides guidance, logos and templates for posters, reports, social media graphics, presentation slides and much more.
  • Graphic design requests: Submit a Communications Intake Form at smu.ca/commshelp for professional graphic design work from SMU Creative Services, for print and digital projects.
  • Events Calendar: Add your event to the SMU Events Calendar using the event submission form, in the calendar's top left corner. Tips:
    • submit photos or graphics in jpg format
    • in the keywords section, 1) add arts; 2) add student to be also added to Student Life Calendar; 3) add alumni to be also added to the Alumni Calendar. You can select up to four keywords from a dropdown menu.
    • On the calendar itself, type 'arts' in the search bar to see events within the Faculty of Arts.
