Anne M. Fawcett received an Honorary Doctorate of Commerce for her contribution to the business community. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, Fawcett worked for a number of private and public organizations. In 1976, she joined The Caldwell Partners International where she is now a managing partner and director, and leads the firm's CEO and Board search practices. The company recruits top-level executives for a wide variety of businesses, government and non-profit organizations.
Fawcett also developed two recognition programs that identify leaders in business, The Top 40 Under 40 Award, which recognizes 40 Canadian leaders under the age of 40 and Canada's Outstanding CEO of the Year Award. Fawcett has been a member of the Board of the YMCA for over 20 years and last year received the Fellowship of Honour. She has served on the cabinet of The United Way, been involved in fundraising initiatives, and led the campaign in Toronto in 1997. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Schulich School of Business at York University, and the Advisory Council of Women in Capital Markets.
