Where do I check-in?

You access the entrance to our check-in desk via 5907 Gorsebrook Ave.  Upon arrival you will see the Sobey Inspiration Hub and Loyola Residence Building.  Straight down the hall and to the right (directional signage will make it easy to find) you will see our 24-hour check-in desk.

Is parking available?

YES, we are pleased to provide free parking when staying with us in our overnight accommodations. Please note, leave luggage in your vehicle and check-in first.  Also, to make your check-in quicker please provide your vehicle licence plate # when making reservations.  If not possible at the time, you must provide it upon check-in.  

Do you have free WiFi?

YES, WIFI is available and accessed using your own device.  Access is renewed daily.  Bedrooms do not have phones.

Is there access to a gym?

YES, the Homburg Fitness Centre is available to overnight guests. (Must be 16 years of age or older.)

Is breakfast available?

No, but Tim Horton’s (1st floor Loyola Building) will open at 7:30 am, 7 days a week.

Are laundry facilities AVAILABLE?

YES, you can purchase laundry cards at the dispenser next to the 24-hour Loyola Check-In Desk or avoid this initial card cost by downloading the app:  coinamatic.com/residents/app/

Do you have irons or hair dryers?

YES, based on availability, these items may be signed out at our 24-hour Loyola Check-In Desk.

Do you have air conditioning?

While we do have fans in each room, our residences are not air conditioned.

How are the taxes broken down and applied?

We are required by law to charge a standard 15% HST (Federal Harmonized Sales Tax) and a 3% city/marketing tax on each nightly room rate.  

Does the online reservation website process my credit card at the time of booking?

NO, your credit card is required by the on-line reservation website only to confirm your reservation.  Payment is due upon check-in.  Cash is not accepted.

What are some popular Halifax attractions?

Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, Casino Nova Scotia, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the award-winning Halifax Public Library, and the Discovery Centre.
