MBA/CMA

This program is 13 courses in length and designed for students with a strong accounting background and work experience in that area. It combines the broad business skills of the MBA degree with the accounting expertise and professional skills of the Certified Management Accountant designation.  For more information, please go the Graduate Studies site Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research.

 

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Saint Mary's will be offering a CFA Level I Prep course in January, 2010.  The course number is FINA 4490.2B, and will be taught on Tuesdays, 5:30 - 8:15.

 

Credit Institute of Canada (CCP)

The Credit Institute of Canada will recognize a number of courses offered by Saint Mary's University Sobeys School of Business.  Individuals working towards a Certified Credit Professional designation may take all but the first two courses at an accredited post secondary institution.  Contact Credit Institute of Canada www.creditedu.org

 Project Management Institute (PMI)

Two of our Executive and Professional Development programs provide 21 PDUs towards your PMI Continuing Certification Requirements:  What the Non-Financial Manager needs to know about Finance Executive and Professional Development at Saint Mary's University and The Project Management Course Executive and Professional Development at Saint Mary's University.

In addition we offer a course that prepares you to sit the Project Associate exam, and to use Microsoft Project, Executive and Professional Development at Saint Mary's University

Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA)

We offer two courses towards the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) designation:  Professional Selling and Strategic Account Management. Executive and Professional Development at Saint Mary's University

Canadian Construction Associations's Gold Seal Accreditation

The Certificate in Project Management for the Project Associate Executive and Professional Development at Saint Mary's University is worth 7 credits.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia (ICANS)

ICANS requires members to complete 20 PD hours in each calendar year, and 120 PD hours in the three year period commencing January 1, 2008, and in each three year period thereafter, including at least 60 hours of verifiable study in each three year period.  Many of our Executive and Professional Development programs Executive and Professional Development at Saint Mary's University will qualify if they help you maintain or develop new competencies relevant to your professional responsibilities and growth.  You may want to contact ICANS to confirm the eligibility of particular courses.
